Pearl “Betty” Mullinax

On November 4, 1936, God gave this world an angel named Pearl Elizabeth “Betty” Duncan Mullinax. On, February 18, 2015, He took her home to be with Him in heaven where she is whole, joyful, and  rejoicing. She was born to Parm Lee and Lillie Kathrine Duncan in Italy, Texas. She was a longtime member of Farley Street Baptist Church. While she was on this earth she made a difference in so many lives. She dedicated her life to God’s work and served at the Texas Baptist Home for Children for nearly 30 years. In this time, she prayed over every child in her care, nurtured and loved each one as only she could. Through God, she was able to extraordinarily impact the lives of so many. She was lovingly called, Mama Betty, because for so many, she was a second mother. To her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was Nanny and Nanny Lamb. She spent many hours rocking, hugging, singing and praying over her grandchildren whom she adored. She was loved by so many. Someone once wrote, “There is something about Miss Betty” and there really was. She was a unique and gifted person who showed Christ’s love through her every action. She was preceded in death by her parents, Parm and Lillie Duncan, and her greatgranddaughter Vivienna Elizabeth Fuini. She is survived by her adoring children; David Mullinax and wife Kathy of San Antonio, Mark Mullinax of Austin, Kathy Smith and husband Dee of Waxahachie, and Nettie Stone and husband Timothy of Rising Star. Her Grandchildren; Jennifer Fuini and husband Nick of San Antonio, Stephanie Mullinax of San Antonio, Chase Smith and wife Sarah of Rhome, Brandon Sanders and wife Ashley of Corsicana, Blair Stone of Brownwood, Hudson and Kolton Smith of Waxahachie, and Kathrine Stone of Rising Star. Her Great-grandchildren; Nicholas Fuini, Alijah Sutton, Addison and Breelyn Smith, Urijah Turner, Alessandra Fuini, Madi and Ava Sanders. She is also survived by her sister Patsy Chapman and husband Lloyd of Waxahachie and their children; Debbie, Bryan, and Jana, as well as her aunts, Irene Duke and Margie Beets.
