Vera Naomi Burkman

Vera Naomi Burkman passed from this life on January 18th, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 95. She was born February 23rd, 1919 in Albany, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Quader Naomi and her father John Edgar Myers. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, John Walter and Jerry Lynn Burkman and by her husband F.W. Burkman. In addition to her sons she was blessed with two daughters who survive Mrs. Burkman. Naomi Jean (Mrs. Edward Reischling) San Antonio, Texas; and Barbara Jan (Mrs. Craig Stoudnor) Las Vegas, Nevada. Vera is survived by her siblings, William Edgar Myers, Palestine, Texas and Jonnie Toxi Stephens, Lakeview, Oregon. She is also survived by a Daughter- in-law, Nancy Burkman, Austin, Texas; a Sister-inlaw Belva Yeager, Cisco, Texas and a Brother&Sister- in-law Henry Burkman and his wife Georgia, Stamford, Texas. In addition she is survived by four grandchildren Ken Reischling, Boerne, Texas; Karen Greenberg, Austin, Texas; Todd Stoudnor, Los Angeles, California and Troy Stoudnor, Las Vegas, Nevada. Also surviving her are seven great grandchildren Kory, Kiley and Keira Reischling; Logan and Adam Greenberg; and Trinity and Toree Stoudnor. Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of Sunset Funeral Home 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. Viewing and memorial services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 PM, January 25th, 2015. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
