EHS wins 1, loses 1 this past week

The Lady Mavericks continued their non-district schedule last week with a game against Goldthwaite. With strong performances from several girls, the Mavs were able to come away with a 45-44 victory. Eastland jumped up 5-0 to start the game. Missed some early opportunities to start the game that could have really blown the game open early for us. Defense played well, we were in early foul trouble with Kaylin, Sloan, and Mattie. Finished the first half with back to back three balls from Jessica Smith and Kaylin Brown to go in at half up 21-18. Played a very poor 3rd quarter, turned the ball over 9 times that quarter, very sloppy play. We were down 32-25 at the end of the 3rd.
