City of Ranger Implements STAGE 1 Water Restrictions

CITY OF RANGER WATER USE DECLARATION EFFECTIVE AUGUST 12, 2014
WHEREAS, Eastland County, including the watershed of Lake Leon, continues to experience one of the worst droughts in its history, and WHEREAS, City of Ranger officials regularly communicate with representatives of the Eastland County Water Supply District regarding the negative effects of the drought on Lake Leon, and WHEREAS, despite recent rains in the Lake Leon watershed, the elevation of Lake Leon’s surface is steadily declining and remains perilously near thelowest point in the history of the lake, and  WHEREAS, the Eastland County Water Supply District has reasonably asked for water conservation measures to be enacted by the Cities of Ranger and Eastland and their customers
