City of Gorman Implements Stage 3 of Drought Contingency Water Plan

At tonight's City Commission meeting, Gorman's Commissioners voted to implement Stage 3 of Upper Leon River Municipal Water District's drought contingency plan, effective immediately, due to current water levels at Lake Proctor. The City was under Stage 2. Stage 3 is declared when water levels reach 11.49.8 ft. or below, or the Lake is at 30% of its capacity. Stage 3 is considered  "Drought Emergency Conditions". The goal for water use reduction under this drought stage is to limit total treated water use by all system users, according to the drought contingency plan.
