Gorman Comes Up Just Short vs. Millsap

By Christian Hunter

The Gorman Panthers hosted the Millsap Bulldogs Friday night in their season opener. The team’s pregame ceremonies included a tribute to a boy that we lost from our team due to a tragic accident early this summer. The Gorman Panthers will be wearing a sticker on their helmets this year in honor of Josh Shipman. The Panther Pride was bright this Friday night as these boys remembered their fallen teammate. In a game plagued by injuries, the Panthers fought hard but were outscored by the Bulldogs 35-27. The Panthers held the Bulldogs to a small lead in the first quarter. Gorman came out to show their usual heart and we saw much more. Ismeal Herrera started off the Panthers’ play by recovering a fumble.
