Texas Communities Are Encouraged to Apply for Prestigious Statewide Awards Program Applications now being accepted for the 2015 Governor’s Community Achievement Awards

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is now accepting applications for the 2015 Governor’sCommunity Achievement Awards (GCAA), one of the most prestigious annualenvironmental awards programs in Texas. In February 2015, a panel of judges will select 10 communities to share in $2 million from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The funds are dedicated to landscaping projects along rights-of-way within the communities. The awards recognize the best grassroots environmental programs in the state and are broken up into 10 different categories based on population size.
