Mavs Move To 6-0, 3-0 In District In Shortened Contest

Eastland put up good numbers for the first half Friday night and that would be good enough to earn the victory on a night that saw games all across the region be shortened due to lightning and storms. Eastland’s game was no different, traveling north to Jacksboro and taking a commanding 34-0 lead before storms caused the field to be cleared at half-time. The game would never resume. On the night, Eastland’s offense would rack up 34 points on just 31 offensive plays but it would be the defense that would pitch the shutout and set the tone for the evening.
