Eastland Memorial Hospital MRI Update

For those folks who are wondering what the MRI is offering here is a short explaination to help you guys who want to do this locally.

Eastland Memorial Hospital announces that Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services are now available Monday-Friday. “On-site full-time MRI services makes it convenient for our patients to schedule their exams and not have to travel out of town. In addition the MRI imaging equipment was also upgraded. With our GE 1.5 Tesla 8-channel scanner and 15x software, image quality has also improved” states Carol Davis, R.T. Radiology Manager.  Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique that uses a powerful magnet and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body’s organs and structures. MRI studies can detect tiny structural changes within the body and can be used as an accurate method of disease and injury detection throughout the body and to help diagnose or monitor treatment for a variety of conditions.

“The addition of a dedicated MRI to our Diagnostic Imaging Department is in keeping with Eastland Memorial Hospital’s dedication to excellence in patient care” says Carol Davis, R.T. Radiology Manager.  Eastland Memorial Hospital also offers a recently upgraded Digital Mammography Service, as well as CT, Ultrasound, General Radiology and Dexa (Bone Density) screening.
