Youth Awarded At County 4-H Event Open Sign-up Underway

The Eastland County 4-H Awards Banquet 2014 was held at 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eastland on Sat., August 16. A welcome was given by Nate Honzelka of the Carbon 4-H which preceded the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and 4-H motto and Pledge. Dinner consisted of barbecue beef and sausage with beans/potato salad and special green 4-H cupcakes, tea, lemonade, etc. Introduction of special guests was given by Karl Winge. Special Guest Speaker Sam Spradlin President of the District 8 4-H, Granbury was introduced by Wade Howard, the Eastland County Extension Agent Ag.Spradlin gave a speech on Time and Its Wise Management with personal anecdotes.
