An old brush arbor tabernacle

In the days before electrical air conditioning, the best place to be on a hot Sunday Morning was under the cover of a brush arbor tabernacle. The arbor was constructed from posts or beams to frame and with cut brush limbs for a roof. The breeze, when there was one, would cool the moist skin of the members of the congregation as they listened to the Preacher conveying what God had placed in his heart for them to hear.
