LBJ and Bob Hardesty Kept Me In Newspaper Business

Part I Most people I know who are in a particular profession or field and have been most of their lives, think of opting for another business somewhere along the line. It usually happens more than once. Yep, I have thought about switching rather than fighting on several occasions. Bob Hardesty and the influence of his padrone, one Lyndon Baines Johnson, derailed my sidetrack train toward another branch line of journalism, thus pushing me into the community newspaper business, where I belonged.
