Santa made a stop in Rising Star to visit with children during the Hometown Christmas and Tree Lighting Celebration. The Rising Star Huddle, a cooperative effort between local businesses, municipal and civic organizations in Rising Star sponsored the event and Comanche County Electric Coop donated $500 to the City of Rising Star for the purchase of the Community Christmas tree.
