Sgt. Frank Tovar, of the Ranger Police Department, was going to issue a verbal warning when he smelled marijuana emitting from the vehicle he had pulled over on the Eastbound, I-20 Mile Marker, 354. Upon routinely questioning the driver, he was given a consent to search the vehicle, which also held a female passenger and a young child. A license check revealed a prior felony on record for this individual.
