William Allen Petty, 57, of Ranger, TX passed away Saturday January 24th, 2015 in Ranger. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31st at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger. Allen was born on July 25, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas to James William and Barbara Genice (Kulbeth) Petty. He married Linda Ann Smith on December 20, 1973 in Corpus Christi, TX. He worked in the oil field for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family and riding Harleys. He was a much loved husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Niecie Petty; his fatherin- law, Wm. G. Wolfe; sister, Charlotte; brother, John; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wolfe and Mark Franke. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Ann Petty; son, Wm. Jeremy (Marion) Petty; daughter, Nicole (Michael) Purdom; grandchildren, Dakota, Mickela, and DeEllen Davis, Morgan Petty and Zayne and Zaylie Purdom. He was expecting a grandchild (Zayde Purdom) and a greatgrandchild. Reception to follow at Ranger College cafeteria.
