Preston Yarbrough Obituary

  EASTLAND – Preston Yarbrough, age 73, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 3, 2014.  Services for Preston will be Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 pm at the Lake Leon Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Roton officiating under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. A visitation will be held at 1 pm on Saturday before the service.  Burial will be at the Staff Cemetery.

Preston was born September 1, 1941 in Big Spring, TX to Elmer and Thelma Merworth Yarbrough.  He was a graduate of Big Spring High School and in 1960 married the love of his life Norma Ann McMurray.  In April 1966 he joined the US Air Force and serviced his country with honor.  After his military service Preston went to work for Dean Hagler Inc. as a Purchasing Agent and Safety Officer.

Preston never met a stranger and was very outgoing and a devoted family man.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.  He was also a lover of animals which animals seem to sense in him and was drawn to him because of this.

Preston was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lee Yarbrough.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Norma Ann Yarbrough of Eastland, one daughter Melissa Boucher and her husband Brian and two precious grandchildren, Colin and Emma Boucher of Granbury.  Preston is also survived by two sisters: Laverne Dean and her husband A.J., and Barbara Morgan and one brother: Leslie Yarbrough and his wife Cathy and a host of nieces and nephews.
