Otis Kenneth Coleman

     Otis Kenneth Coleman celebrated his 90th birthday April 11, 2016. Otis was living in Carbon, Texas and was surrounded by family and friends
when he went to meet his Lord on April 23, 2016.  The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland Sunday, 6~8 p.m. 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Leon River Cowboy Church.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Comanche County.

     Otis was born April 11, 1926 to Garland Otis and Winnie Lucille Coleman of Mullin, TX.  Otis graduated from Comanche High School 

May 1945 and married Jean Richards June 7, 1946.

     Otis was a member of Lions Club and was one of the past presidents.
Otis was also involved with the Chamber of Commerce and a past president. Otis was a Deacon in the Baptist Church and a member of the
Leon River Cowboy Church. Otis and Jean owned their own business Otis
Coleman Aluminum for over 35 years.  They owned and operated many businesses over their 60 years of marriage.  Otis was a pilot, hunter
and fisherman.  He always said "my gun doesn't have a miss in it"!  He always enjoyed telling tales of hunting to the grandchildren.  Susan
and Jill just remember it as fact.

     Otis is survived by two daughters, Susan and husband Kenneth Payne of Carbon, Jill and husband

Robert Hallmark of Midland, grandchildren, Kelly and husband Butch, Holly and husband Brian, Kayci and husband
Brad, Jarod and wife Stephanie, Allie and husband Alex and Haylie and fiancé  Sean, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Blayke and husband Taner,
Alexa, Reagan, Johnathan, Bryson, and Zachary, great great-grandchild, Weston; one sister, Wanda Coleman Tucker; and (1) niece and (2) nephews.

     The family would like to thank our extended caregiver family from Home Health, Hospice and our night care nurses.  With your loving care and
heart you helped make the last months at peace.

     Otis had a love for music and dancing.  We all know he is dancing in heaven.
