Monte R. Tucker Obituary

   EASTLAND – Monte R. Tucker, 69 of Eastland, passed away Thursday November 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 25th at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 411 S. Mulberry St, Eastland, TX.

     Mr. Tucker was born on July 29, 1946 in Gorman to Jack H. Tucker and Enid B. (Middleton) Tucker.  He married his wife of 49 years, Fay Hamanaka, in Honolulu, HI on August 8, 1966. He retired from the Navy after 22 years.  He was a truck driver; he retired after his leg amputation.

     Survivors include his wife, Fay Y. Tucker; 1 son, Monte Y. Tucker; 2 daughters, Tracy and her husband Ron from Indiana and Stacy Cooley from Eastland; 4 brothers, Thomas, Ralph, Philip, and Buddy; 4 sisters, Glenda, Sandra, Diane, and Rue; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jack and Kenneth.

   He was a sweet and awesome man and will be missed by all.
