Eastland- Maria Lydia Lopez, 94, of Breckenridge went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her home. Holy Rosary will be 2 pm Saturday, September 26th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Breckenridge. Mass will be 10 am Saturday, October 3rd at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Ranger. Arrangement is being made through Edwards Funeral Home, Eastland.
Maria was born June 17, 1921 in Gordon, TX to Isabel and Vicenta Soto. She was one of eleven children. She met the love of her life, Alejo Garcia Lopez in 1945 and married him in 1948. They spent 66 years together until his death in October, 2014. Maria was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her 3 children and husband. Maria was a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son Mario Lopez, 2 daughters Brenda Palmer and Carolyn Jehring and husband Joseph and grandsons Samuel and Jacob.
