Katherine Fern (Foster) Krensavage Obituary

Katherine Fern (Foster) Krensavage

Katherine Fern (Foster) Krensavage of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 13, 2016 at the age of 83.
She was born on December 4, 1932 to James W. and Velma Winnie (Taylor) Foster in Cisco, Texas.
Katherine married George
William Krensavage on July 3, 1950 in Garner Iowa. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic
Church in McKinney. Kathy
was a wonderful, loving, caring, generous and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.
Besides being a homemaker, she was
the peacemaker in the family. We always knew that Mom and Dad were there to support us
(children and grandchildren) when
we needed their help or guidance. We were lucky to have such loving parents. Mom and
Dad loved to have family visit and
made everyone feel welcomed. When they had the house(s) at Lake Leon, most of the time
there would be 20 – 30 people
spending the night/weekend with us. Mom did all this while working a full-time job.
Obviously, she was very organized. There
was always room for everyone even if you had to sleep on the floor. The first ones to bed
got the best beds. Some of us were
going to bed as the others were getting up. So, we slept in shifts. Everyone enjoyed spending
time at the lake house – playing
cards, water skiing, and relaxing. Mom loved to cook and she and Dad enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving,
Christmas and Easter dinners.
Her signature dishes were turkey and dressing, fried chicken and fried fish, and her fabulous chicken
and spaghetti dish!
She also crocheted each of her children and grandchildren an afghan. She is survived by daughter,
Vicki Lynn of McKinney, Texas,
daughter, Jan (Neil) Howard of McKinney, Texas, daughter of her heart, Linda Naylor Klotz; sisters,
Doris (Jimmy) Sumrow of Humble,
Texas, Linda (David) Bloomingdale of Navasota, Texas, Delores Boles of Cisco; sisters-in-law,
Helen Boles and Cecilia Boles of Cisco;
5 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband
of 61 years, George Krensavage; son, Stan Krensavage; her parents, Velma Ridout, JW Foster and
step-mother, Hazel Foster; brothers,
Leon and Jerry Boles, and Bobby Foster. The family request that memorials be made to the Mt. Marion
