Juline Griffin Casey Perkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Juline Perkins were heldat 11 in the morning on Saturday, August 22nd, at  Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas. Family friend and pastor Dwaine Clower of Cisco officiated. Burial was in the Merryman Cemetery. Visitation with the family was scheduled from 6 to 7:30 on the preceding Friday evening. Mrs. Perkins was born to James Dess Griffin and Moss Wilhite Griffin in Peacock, Texas. She was a long-time resident of Eastland County where her parents farmed and where she raised her children. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse who took herjob very seriously as she  rendered compassionate care to all her patients. In addition to her love of family, and dedication to her profession, she was an avid dancer. She enjoyed dancing to country music of which she was a devoted fan. Unfortunately, she was a victim of Alzheimer’s dementia and spent the last several years of her life in the Valley View Nursing Home. She was preceded in  death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers and  one  n, George Byron Casey. She is survived by a son and his wife, Herbert R. Casey, Jr. and Jackie of Mexia, Texas, two daughters Joyce Mathis of Ranger, and Debra Daniel and husband Raymond, Jr. of Guthrie; daughter -in-law Becky Casey of Eastland. Surviving grandchildren are Kevin Fitch of Teague, Bruce Fitch of Allegan, Michigan, Wayne Lisenbee of Abilene, Toni Gibson of Jayton, Shandy  nty of Eastland, Rokisha Johnson of Encino, California and Jaleesa Garcia of Cameron, North Carolina, along with fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by   rother Jimmy Griffin of  oshua, sisters Waldine Stephenson of Carbon, Florine Emmert of Talihina, Oklahoma and twin sister Juldine Singleton of White Settlement, numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. Robin Griffin, Tony Griffin, Bill May, Stephen Monty, Terry Norton, Rick Pack, Charlie Stephenson, Jr. and Dwayne Young served as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials  be made to the MangumBaptist Church, P O Box 504, Eastland TX 76448 and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York NY 10001.
