Jerry Wayne Walker

Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Walker, age 85, of Rising Star, will be at10:00 AMFriday,

December 4, 2015 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Jerry passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 peacefully in his home in Rising Star.

Jerry Wayne was born on June 23, 1930 in Gorman to Charles W. and Faye (Maples) Walker.

Jerry served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Jo Price

on February 18, 1951 in Gustine. Jerry went to work for El Paso Natural Gas in New Mexico in

1953 where he and Mary Jo spent the next 32 years prior to moving to Lake Brownwood in 1986.

They moved to Rising Star in 2003. Jerry was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of

Foreign Wars, and the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Gwen Walker of

Plano and Debbie Richardson and husband A.K of Rising Star, two grandchildren,

Christopher Spradling of Plano and Wyndy Ramirez of Houston and three great-

grandchildren; step mother Delia Bonner of Rising Star, two brothers Howard

Lee Walker of Big Spring and Charles Walker of Lufkin, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

 

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo Walker his parents, a grandson

Dustin Wynne, and three brothers Ray, Edward, and Wesley Walker.
