Clara Hallmark Obituary
CISCO- Clara Hallmark, 85, of the Nimrod community, passed away January 17, 2015 in Eastland, Texas, following a brief illness.
She was born July 14, 1929 in Gilmer, Texas to Harold and Hazel Simpson. She married Bob Hallmark on April 17, 1960.
Clara is survived by her husband, Bob. Also surviving are her children Mary Rogers of Nimrod, TX, Hazel and Wallace Grieger of Irving, TX, Billy and Shelley Knight of Nimrod, TX, Linda and Dale Burns of Midland, TX, and Sue and Sy Tabor of Snyder, TX. Clara is also survived by a sister Ann Fink of Cisco, Twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Hazel Simpson; four sisters, Catherine, Irene, and Pearlie Grace Simpson and Jewel Kinard; one son-in-law, Al Rogers; two nephews, Bob and Gary Fink; and one great-grandson, Andrew Hurst.
Clara enjoyed spending time with the women in her quilting club. She made many beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren. She and Bob also loved to play card games with their friends and family. Clara spent many hours in her kitchen. She especially loved to bake for her family and friends. She was well-known for her excellent pies, and homemade yeast rolls.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas. The visitation is from 5PM to 7 PM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Kimbrough Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Kimbrough Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Armstrong officiating. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
