Carolyn Sue Kitchens Hull
CISCO – Carolyn Sue Kitchens Hull was born to Alvin and Jeffa Lee Kitchens on September 23, 1943 in Pettit, TX. She grew up around that area until the family moved to Cisco where she spent her senior year of High School. After graduation, she got on a bus to California to visit her aunt and uncle. She was introduced to Fred Hull at the bus station and they sat together all the way to San Diego. Fred was on leave from the Navy and was returning to the ship. Carolyn and Fred continued to correspond and married the following year on March 22, 1963. They were married 51 and ½ years. Fred and Carolyn were separated these last 5 ½ months until she joined him in Heaven last Thursday night, February 19, 2015. Carolyn and Fred are survived by three children: Lezlea Hull, Teddy and wife Tami Hull, and Kari and husband Andy Porter, and 4 grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, Tanner and Payton. Carolyn was a member of the Mitchell Baptist Church. She was a florist and had her own shop in the 1980’s. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She also loved to quilt and made many beautiful works of art. Funeral services for Carolyn were held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Chambers Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco with burial at the Elm Cemetery north of Rising Star. A visitation was held Saturday, February 21, from 6 – 8 pm at the Funeral Home. We will miss her every single day, but our hearts are rejoicing that she has joined Jesus and Dad, and so many other loved ones in Heaven, and she is not hurting any more.
