Brenda Marlene Holt Obituary

   Brenda Marlene Holt, age 64, passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home in Carbon.

   Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Gunsight Baptist Church with Rex Boggs and Mike Orsini officiating.  Burial will be in the Eastland Cemetery.

   Brenda was born January 17, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Herbert Douglas Rice and Lillian Darlene (Hume) Rice.  She married Sidney Holt on August 16, 1974 in Red Oak, Texas.  She worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.  Brenda was a member of the Gunsight Baptist Church.

   She is survived by her husband, Sidney Holt of Carbon; children, Sidney Ryan Holt and wife, Stormy of Ranger, Paul Holt and wife, Candy of Strawn, Johnette Jordan and husband, Jay of College Station and Dana Campbell and husband, David of Gorman; one sister, Gwen Lemons and husband, Paul of Forney; twelve grandchildren, Julie Jordan and Jarrett Jordan, Rayce, Jacie, Lacie and Trayce Holt, Maddie Holt and Tessa Chancelor, Austin, Lauren and Logan Campbell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, JoAnn Thompson, Donnis Franks and Sandy LoGrande.

   The family would like to thank a dear friend and physician, Dr. Jeffery Moore for all of his help during the past twenty-one years.

   Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
