Blanche Fay Weise

  CISCO – Blanche Fay Weise, age 93, formerly of Cisco went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 13, 2015.  Graveside services for Blanche will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 18th at the Lutheran Cemetery on CR 167 under the direction of Chambers Funeral Home in Cisco. Visitation to be held from 1:00 – 2:30 pm on Wednesday before the service at the funeral home. 

   Blanche was born May 27, 1921 in Eastland County to Authur (A.S.) and Maude Mann Walker.  In 1939 she graduated High School in Pioneer, TX and later that year married the love of her life Joe A. Weise in Eastland.  Blanche and Joe lived on their farm together for over 50 years before moving to town.  Blanche loved farm life and being outdoors.  She loved gardening and fishing and would go all over the home place in their old Farmall Tractor.  Blanche was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed quilting and embroidering.  She was also an accomplished cook having cooked for Meals on Wheels and the Nursing Home and she always had an open place at her table for anyone else who showed up around meal time, and she nearly always had a group of growing boys at her table.  Later in life Blanche loved going to the musicals held in the area and attended them as long as her health allowed her to go. Blanche loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cisco.

  Blanche is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 57 years Joe.  She was also preceded in death by 8 siblings.

   Blanche is survived by two sons: Larry Weise and wife Julie, and Frank Weise and wife Danise all of Abilene, three grandchildren: A’Lisa Brooks and husband Tye of Abilene, Mary King and husband Curt of Rockwall and Jake Weise and wife Jeanine also of Abilene, and six great grandchildren:  Brandon, Ashlynn, Corbet, Chelsea, Shaylin, and Weston.  Blanche is also survived by one brother, Gene Walker, the last of 10 children from Ardmore, OK.
