Avis Jones Obituary

EASTLAND – Avis Jones 93, formally of Ranger, went to be with her heavenly Father on May 17, 2016 at Oak Ridge Manor, Brownwood, Texas.

She was born Dec 14, 1922 to Virgel and Letha (McCoy) McDearmon.

She is survived by sister, Anita Middleton; brother, Bill and Linda Philen, a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins, one aunt and special

friend, Sue Cherry. Preceeding her in death are mother, father, stepfather, W.J. Philen, husband, James Jones, and four brothers,

Ray McDearmon, Glen McDearmon, Everett Philen, and Rob Philen.

Funeral Services will be at the Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger, Texas Friday, May 20, 2016. Visitation at 1 PM and services at

2 PM followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas.
