Katie Beth Baird Obituary

    CISCO- Katie Beth Baird, 88, of The Scranton community of Eastland County died Monday, February 29, 2016 in Hurst, Texas. 

   She was born November 18, 1927 in Abilene, Texas the daughter of Milton David and Katie Elizabeth (McMullan) Speegle. Katie attended school in Scranton Texas

and also Nursing School graduating as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She was employed in Hospitals in Andrews, Cisco, Eastland, and also worked in Home Health.

   She married  Lenin Debs Baird June 10, 1946 at Mitchell Baptist Church near Cisco in Eastland County. Her church membership is Mitchell Baptist Church. 

   Katie is survived by her husband of 69 years L D Baird; three children Richard Baird and wife Anola of Houston; Ronnie Baird and wife Teresa of Spring and

Daughter Katie Lynn Lindsey and husband Bo of Colleyville; Thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grand children and 1 great great grandchild.

   She was preceded  in death by a son James Baird. 

  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 4, 2016 in Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Scranton Cemetery. Visitation will be from

5 PM until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
