Mack Elliott

RISING STAR- Mack Elliott, age 75, of Rising Star, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Brownwood, Texas. Visitation was held onSaturday evening, July 25, 2015 at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas with Terry Simmons officiating, burial followed in the Rising Star Cemetery. Mack was born August 10, 1939 in Gorman, Texas to James Benjamin Elliott and Mary Jane (Zellars)Elliott. He married Sandra Erwin on December 19,  1957 in Rising Star, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sandra Elliott of Rising Star, Texas; son, Mackey Elliott of Rising Star, Texas; daughter, Vicki Lee and her husband, Billy of Rising Star, Texas; 2 sisters, Martha Cook and Carolyn Weeber both of Rising Star, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and  nephews. Mack is preceded in death by his Parents; brother and sister
