EASTLAND – Verna Lee Little, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, April 23, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. A graveside service was held Monday, April 27 at 3:00 pm at the Eastland City Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 6-8 pm at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. Verna Lee was born August 7, 1936, in Gorman, TX to Joe Vern and Dora Minnie Jordan Garrett. She graduated from Carbon High School. On December 19, 1953, she married the love of her life Jimmy Little in Kokomo, TX. Verna Lee worked for 34 years at House of Webster Ceramics in Eastland with her husband while raising three loving kids. She was an active member of the Kokomo Baptist Church and served as the Church Sunday School Secretary for many years. Verna Lee loved to travel. She was an avid Humming Bird watcher. Her most important love was her family, and she thoroughly enjoyed making sure every Birthday was a big event. Verna Lee was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lavell Hallmark. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jimmy. She is also survived by a son, Ray Neal Little and his wife Melissa of Eastland; daughter, Nelda Fails of Arlington; and son, James Little and his wife Jill also of Eastland. Grandchildren: Cody and Jarad Fails, Emily Little, and Ashley and Breckley Little, and one precious great-granddaughter Kourtney Michelle, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family request donations be made to the Kokomo Baptist Church.
