ONE TEACHER’S STORY Educator Takes Readers Behind Classroom Doors

THE LIGHT, THE FIRE, THE PASSION, Retired Teacher Marsha Vermillion’s very personal book was introduced here last week to a large enthusiastic public. (Copies at $8 available at the TODAY office on S. Seaman St.) Site for the signing by Mrs. V was at the beautiful Historic Eastland Hotel on N. Lamar St., hosted by her friend Ann Zoellick. The long line of welcoming, congratulating and appreciating friends and neighbors from throughout this area started when the doors opened at four and were still in evidence at closing, two hours later. It was a jolly time of ‘remembering when’ and appreciation to (known-to-most as Marsha) who had sent so many young people out in life with not only knowledge and appreciation for the written and spoken word, but also wise council about facing the world’s arrows and living the right life.
