James C. Allison and Mary Ann (Shults) Allison will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 8, 2015.
James was born and raised in Eastland, Texas and Mary was born and raised in Post, Texas. The couple was married in Clothes City, Texas in 1955. The groom’s father (J.C. Allison and Lilly May Allison) from Eastland and the bride’s father (Guy Shults) and brother (Jim Bob Shults) from Post were in attendance.
The couple lived and worked in Lubbock and Austin, retired, and built a home in Cedar Park, Texas, where James enjoy following politics and sports and Mary oil paints and reads. They have two children, Kathy Hubbard of Shallowater, Texas and Jerry Allison of Austin, Texas. They have 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
