TxDOT’s project to build safety rest areas in Eastland County started around 15 years ago, Elias Rmeili, P.E., TxDOT Brownwood District Engineer, said as he greeted officials and guests to the dedication ceremony for Eastland County Safety Rest Areas on !nterstate-20. The acreage was acquired for construction in two beautiful locations; one, westbound, at mile marker 360 on the top of Ranger Hill and another identical rest area eastbound at mile marker 353.
