Watkins Leaving Eastland for Glen Rose

Eastland ISD Superintendent Jason Cochran has confirmed that football coach Cliff Watkins has resigned to take the head coaching vacancy at Glen Rose High School. He hopes to find a replacement for Watkins by mid-February. Watkins spent 2 years at Eastland, with deep playoff runs in both years. In those 2 years, the Mavs were a combined 21-5, with 2 Area Championships. His last day at Eastland HS will be February 1.
