The Eastland Lady Mavericks opened their ’14-’15 basketball regular season this past Tuesday, Nov 11, when they hosted the Hico Lady Tigers. Coach Michael Huxen comments about the game, “We started out a bit slow and jittery at the beginning of the game which is kind of expected being the first game of the year. After a few trips the girls settled down and played much better. The first half was very back and forth. Hico finished with a 7-0 run to finish the half to go in with a lead of 20-17.”
