Lewis scores twice to lead Loboes past Bearcats
By Stephen Forester
Senior tailback Landon Lewis rushed for 90 yards, scored twice and came up with an interception in Cisco’s 23-12 district battle with the Henrietta Bearcats this past Friday at Chesley Field. The win moves the Lobo district record to 2-0 and their overall record to a perfect 5-0. Defense was the name of the game for the better part of Friday’s game at Chesley. The Loboes were averaging well over 40 points a game coming into the contest with the Bearcats while Henrietta had averaged just under 40 a game. The initial drives for both teams ended in punts. Starting center Jed Vaughn injured his knee in the game the week before against Holliday.
