Scranton To Dedicate Historical Cemetery Marker

A Texas Historical Commission plaque recognizing the significance of the Scranton Cemetery to the Eastland and Callahan Counties area will be unveiled in ceremonies at the cemetery beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3. The state agency recently designated the Scranton Cemetery a Texas Historic Cemetery, culminating a decade-long effort by local officials to secure the state endorsement.
