Curtis Cozart
BRECKENRIDGE- Curtis Cozart, age 74 of Ranger, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, June 25th at Gunsight Cemetery with Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 24th at Morehart Mortuary. Curtis Leo Cozart was born March 22, 1941 in Ranger, Texas to parents, Austin Cozart and Josephine Watson Cozart. On July 14, 1956, Curtis married Geneva Carlene Boles in Breckenridge. The Cozarts were active in raising four boys over the years. Mr. Cozart worked at R.E. Dye Manufacturing in Breckenridge for several years before moving to Wichita Falls, Katy and then Ranger. Curtis worked in the grocery business most of his life and was currently employed at Brookshire’s in Eastland. He was a member of Gunsight Baptist Church. Mr. Cozart enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be gardening, camping or fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Josephine Cozart; one sister, Doris Boone, and one brother, Charles Witherspoon. Mr. Cozart is survived by his wife, Carlene Cozart of Ranger; four children, Randy Cozart and wife Judy of Ranger, Rodney Cozart of Breckenridge, Rocky Cozart and wife Tammie of Cisco, Tracy Cozart of Keller; one brother, Durwood Cozart; one sister, Dorothy Glover; eleven grandchildren, Curt Cozart, Christina Briles, Christopher Cozart, J.R. Cozart, Jacy Blair, Shelby Gibson, Amanda Phillips, McKinsey Cozart, Jason Hamm, Logan Hamm, Karlie Cozart; 23 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
